A Craft for the Fall

So...I like to craft...be creative...make stuff.  I have started doing these scrapbooks for my father-in-law, and that has evolved into headbands, pots, etc.  So...I came up with a little craft for the fall.
I started with this old pot from a failed crafting project....

I primed it with white, then spray painted it a nice orange, that Hubby picked up for me at Home Depot.

I thought about making it into a Jack-o-Lantern, but then thought I would paint something that would make the pot last through Thanksgiving...

Then I went to the pumpkin patch to pick up some gourds--yes, my sole purpose for going to the pumpkin patch was to get gourds--not to get a pumpkin.  Look at these great gourds!!

Then I put the gourds into my pot!

(These have a much better chance of survival, given the vast quantity of
plants that have been sacrificed to my brown thumb!)

I think Holly approves, how about you?

  1. Ooo. I wish I was crafty like you Lexie! I thought your headbands were adorable and now your fall gourd holder is so cute! Much better than a plant as I have a brown thumb.
